Your Right to Data Deletion

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We respect your privacy and make it easy to delete your account and data.

What Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, we will permanently delete:

• Your account information (name, email, profile data)
• All health data (weight, measurements, nutrition logs)
• All workout data (workout plans, completed sessions, performance data)
• All AI-generated content (meal plans, workout plans, form reviews, physique scans)
• All uploaded media (photos, videos)
• All progress data (streaks, badges, analytics)
• Subscription information (history will be retained by Stripe for 7 years as required by law)

What Will Be Retained

Due to legal and regulatory requirements, some data must be retained:

• Payment records: Stripe retains transaction records for 7 years (tax/accounting requirements)
• Support tickets: Email correspondence retained for 2 years (legal compliance)
• Anonymized analytics: Aggregated usage data with no personal identifiers (cannot be linked back to you)
• Backup data: Deleted from backups within 90 days

Data Deletion Methods

Method 1: Self-Service (Instant)

Sign in to delete your account instantly.

Method 2: Email Request

If you prefer, you can email us at help@trainerapp.ai with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include:

• Your full name
• Email address associated with your account
• Account username (if different from email)
• Confirmation that you want to permanently delete all data

We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email when complete.

Method 3: In-App Settings

You can also delete your account from the app:

1. Open the trAIner app
2. Go to Settings (tap your profile icon)
3. Scroll to "Account Management"
4. Tap "Delete Account"
5. Confirm deletion

Data Export (Before Deletion)

Before deleting your account, you may want to export your data. We provide:

• Workout history: CSV export of all workouts
• Nutrition logs: CSV export of daily logs
• Progress photos: ZIP file of all uploaded photos
• AI-generated plans: PDF export of meal plans and workout plans

To export your data, email help@trainerapp.ai with "Data Export Request" in the subject line.

Subscription Cancellation

Important: Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription. To avoid future charges:

1. Cancel your subscription first (Settings → Subscription → Cancel)
2. Wait for the billing period to end (you'll retain access until then)
3. Then delete your account

If you delete your account while subscribed, we will automatically cancel your subscription, but you will not receive a refund for the current billing period.

Timeline

• Instant (Method 1 or 3): Account and data deleted immediately
• Email request (Method 2): Processed within 30 days
• Backup deletion: Data removed from backups within 90 days
• Third-party deletion: We will request deletion from AI providers (may take up to 30 days)
